John 10:4

“When he has brought all his own outside, he goes ahead of them. The sheep follow him because they know his voice.” – John 10:4

Good Shepherd, help me to know Your voice better. Help me to hear You more clearly. Thank You for going ahead of me. You pave the way for my life and for Your plan for this world. What an honor it is to be used by You for Your glory. Help my meager efforts to increase Your kingdom and spread the Good News so more and more will hear Your voice and know You as their savior, their Shepherd. 

Help me to rely on You more and not on my own ways. Remind me that You are not just leading the way when You go ahead, but You are clearing the path, warding off danger, avoiding the snares of the enemy, and defeating evil.

You are a Good Shepherd but You are also a mighty warrior and there is no one I’d rather follow than You. 

Help me to be a faithful follower who listens well to Your voice. Amen.
