“You are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance. Selah” – Psalm 32:7
Father God, even though I am grown, there are times when this life makes me want to cower away, balled up in my own fear, self-doubt, or pity like a small child. I don’t see an end and I don’t see a victor. My praises are silenced and my focus is blurred.
But You remind me that You are not scared or blind. You stand tall and strong, the Ultimate Father, and provide a safe hiding place for me when trouble comes knocking. You ward off the enemy and because You are always good, You do it with joy, with shouts of deliverance, and with loving promises. I don’t deserve a God like You, but I couldn’t imagine a better Protector than You. Amen.
